Bindagraphics has taken computer simulation to another level with its virtual proofing capabilities. The featured project highlights how Bindagraphics can move your next packaging project from concept to completion.
This particular custom piece was constructed of 20-point paperboard with an e-flute insert for rigidity. The super-constructed front flap includes a magnetic closure; inside the flap is a foam CD hub. A scuff-free matte film laminate was applied to the printed surface for scratch and water resistance.
Before production began, our computer simulation enabled the customer to manipulate the virtual proof in 3-D. By viewing the package from almost any angle, our customer approved the design for manufacture in a fraction of the time that would be wasted sending an actual prototype back and forth. And what’s more, we created a step-by-step virtual simulation that demonstrated to the end customer exactly how the piece would be constructed and fulfilled.
With more than a half-dozen binding and finishing processes involved - including CAD/CAM design, die cutting, folding/gluing, film laminating, attaching and assembly/fulfillment - our virtual proof helped our customer secure the project and ensure continued business.
